Honouring Our Heroes - Donation

On Monday, October 02, Ken W. Hoffer, President of the Society of Atlantic Hereos and Rollie Lawless, Director of Veterans Outreach had the pleasure to meet with Josh Cochrane and his mother Anne to receive a generous donation of $1000.00.  Josh also presented a montage of photos showing him with various veterans (photo of Rollie included) that he supports.  Josh was recently awarded a bursary at the Prince’s Youth Service Awards ceremony in Toronto.  He has graciously donated a portion of those proceeds to help with the Society's  PTSD campaign. Josh is an active humanitarian in his community - helping his friends who are suffering from cancer related illnesses. He also serves as an international advocate for autism and is a strong supporter of veterans + continue reading

Atlantic House Apartment

The Society of Atlantic Heroes is pleased to announce that a three-bedroom apartment is now available to veterans, first responders and their immediate family members who must travel to the Halifax Regional Municipality to receive extended medical services. The apartment will be available for occupancy effective 15 June 2017.  Information regarding eligibility criteria and application form can be found under the Atlantic House pull down menu.
